Налог, воздействие (incidence) которого скрыто от лица, его выплачивающего. Примером может быть налог, которым облагаются товары при оптовой продаже: он повышает розничную цену таким образом, что конечный потребитель не в состоянии увидеть ни самого налога, ни то, на сколько он повысил стоимость товара. Другим примером может быть введение правительством неявного налога путем искусственного повышения оплаты какой-то коммунальной услуги выше ее обычной коммерческой стоимости.
